The heart of all businesses are leads.  If you have a product to sell you need people to contact to try to make a sale to.Well one of the methods you can use to generate leads are trade shows but people often don’t do it right.I say it is misused because most businesses want to try to make a sale then and there.Sure you have the ability to get some sales at the trade shows, but if you really want to see a boost in sales, focus on getting leads first.Because most people at trade shows are just looking. They won’t and aren’t usually willing to buy, but if you have their information, you can follow up to make a sale.

So if you are going to use trade shows the right way and use them to generate leads you need a great portable trade show display setup.  I say you need a great one set up because you really have to have something that attracts people’s attention. To say it another way if the people at the trade show pass your booth by and they don’t like it, they won’t stop.So make certain that the booth you set up is professional and attractive.

The next thing you want to do is have retractable banner stands.  That way you can have a nice image or logo that you can set up that also attracts more attention.A booth will be a good foundation but a good banner really adds to the look that will attract people to come visit.

Finally once you get them over to your tradeshow booth instead of concentrating on the sale concentrate on the first step.Said another way, you aren’t taught to run first, you have to walk. You have to look at acquiring their information as the beginning step. You will definitely make more sales using this mindset.Think about it, what do you think will be easier to do, get them to buy something or get their information?Their information is something that will be easy to get so you will get a lot more leads then sales. And as stated earlier, leads are the key to the success of your business.
